In Support of The Miriam’s Cancer Survivorship Program, “Bench Press for Cancer” Returns for its 20th Year!
On Monday, October 21, Brown Football will host its 20th Annual Bench Press for Cancer on the Main Green. The annual event was created in 2004 to help former team captain Lawrence Rubida ’05 and his family pay for medical bills associated with his battle against Ewing’s Sarcoma. It continues a longstanding tradition of raising thousands of dollars to benefit the Cancer Survivorship Program at The Miriam, which is a principal teaching hospital for Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School.
