Day of Giving Raises More Than $435,000

Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s presented the fifth annual Day of Giving on Wednesday, September 10. The daylong radio-telethon, a partnership with NBC 10 WJAR and Cumulus Media Providence, gave the hospitals an opportunity to highlight their world-class care, share inspiring patient stories, and raise funds to support their lifesaving work.

Civic Leader of the Year Award

Earlier this month, the Edward A. Iannuccilli, MD, Civic Leader of the Year Award was presented to Robert K. Vincent, Chairperson of Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation, in recognition of his outstanding leadership and contributions to Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s, and the greater Rhode Island community. A former chair of the Rhode Island Hospital Foundation Board, Bob also led the Hasbro Children’s Heroes Ball with his wife, Grace, for three years, among other key roles at the hospital and across the state.

Hasbro Children’s Allows Leukemia Patient to Remain Close to Home for World-Class Treatment

Emanuel Silva (“Emoni”) was just six years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) during a family trip to Portugal in May 2024. It was a diagnosis that changed everything; but thanks to a clinical trial offered through Hasbro Children’s, Emoni is not only getting world-class treatment close to home, but he is also living like the energetic, Lego-loving kid he’s always been. This clinical trial has allowed Emoni a better quality of life during treatment; one in which he could remain in school and actively enjoying his favorite activities.

Record-Breaking 29th Annual
Hasbro Children’s Golf Invitational

On July 21, 2025, 115 golfers gathered at the picturesque Rhode Island Country Club for the 29th annual Hasbro Children’s Golf Invitational, an event marked by sunshine, spirited bidding, and heartfelt remembrance. The tournament included a lively auction and fund-a-need, raising an incredible, and record-breaking, $475,000 for critical patient-focused services such as the Aubin Child Protection Center and Child Life.
