Share the Spirit this Holiday Season

Hospital stays can be overwhelming for children and their families, especially during the holidays. From now through December 31, 2025, you can help support Child Life Services at Hasbro Children’s simply by shopping at Spirit Christmas locations in Dartmouth or North Attleborough, MA, and choosing to donate at the register. Hasbro Children’s Child Life specialists provide therapeutic play, creative arts, and emotional support to help kids cope with medical procedures and hospital stays. These services are not covered by insurance, making community support essential. Since its creation in 2006, the Spirit of Children program has donated more than $145 million to Child Life programs at partner hospitals like Hasbro Children’s.

World-Renowned Care Gives Alba a Smile and Hope

“We trusted him completely, right from the beginning,” recalls Phoebe Livingston, remembering the moment her newborn daughter Alba was urgently referred to Albert Woo, MD—an internationally recognized leader in cleft and craniofacial surgery, chief of pediatric plastic surgery at Hasbro Children’s, and director of its Cleft and Craniofacial Center. Dr. Woo is not only known for pioneering innovative cleft palate repair techniques that optimize speech and improve function, but also for volunteering around the globe to provide life-changing surgeries for children who otherwise would not have access to care.

Since 1994, the Hasbro Children’s Heroes Ball has brought our community together in an extraordinary show of support for the children in our region. Proceeds from the Heroes Ball are used to establish and grow significant programs throughout Hasbro Children’s hospital. These unrestricted funds provide financial resources to support areas of greatest need, including patient services, educational programs, and innovative research ensuring that children receive the best possible medical care available.

Heroes for Hasbro is a giving society that recognizes donors who make an annual gift of $250 or more to Hasbro Children’s. Donors can direct their support to one of our top four funding needs: Child Life Services, the Healing Arts Program, the Medical-Legal Partnership or the area of greatest need.
